During this session, we will mix theory with practice; exploring the difference between self-esteem and self-worth, seeing how self-worth can help you be more resilient to setbacks, so recovering quicker, drive your projects forward, as well as giving tips and tricks to keep your self-worth strong.

– Lindsey Sanders Self-Worth Week Facilitator Lindsey Sanders

15.00 – 15.30 – S3 – INSIDE OUT Unrolling the Red Carpet for All of Our Emotions Well being stream icon

Self-Worth implies Self-Acceptance. It does not mean justifying our faults, nor being passive to whatever is present, but rather being willing to recognize and ‘befriend’ the truth of what we are experiencing, without hiding from it.
We metaphorically open our inner door and unroll the red carpet for whatever emotions appear, and learn to make space for them, gently overcoming our fear or shame, to better work with them.
A short and playful practice based on Rumi’s poem “The Guesthouse” will help us visualize this process and start making space for all we are – because we are worth it!

– Claudia Vettore Self-Worth Week Facilitator Claudia Vettore

15.30 – 16.30 – S4 – Building Healthy Relationships Relationships Stream icon

In this session, you will learn how unconditional self-worth is a foundation for healthy, authentic relationships.

11:30 – 12.00 – S3 – Wellbeing at Work Relationships Stream icon

Through this story, participants will have a chance to reflect on their path and discuss powerful questions to help unveil the real inside-out path of self-worth.
“One day I will be ready if I gather everything I need: energy, strength, even beautiful accessories” was Julie’s motto which she relied on to confront setbacks. All in all, she felt she succeeded, remained a good enough mother, partner, daughter, sister, and friend etc. She never lost focus and faith. But things would have been so much easier if she had learnt sooner the difference between self-worth and self-esteem.
In the most extreme way possible, our speaker learnt how to set healthy boundaries, find the support she needed and identify ways to maintain stability and grow resilience. She confronted herself in the mirror, letting go of all of the “If’s” that had made her feel complete until…. then.

How can having unwavering self-worth help us get through difficult times in our lives, such as facing a serious health issue? It’s easier to have a strong sense of self-worth when things are going well but what about when you get some breaking news that totally shatters your life, such as a cancer diagnosis, the death of a loved one or your partner’s announcement of separation? How can we still – and most of all then – be our own best friends, not letting ourselves get lost in the emotional turmoil that is going on inside of us?

– Laura VesajokiSelf-Worth Week Facilitator Amanada Mulder

18.00 – 19.00 – S8 – Put on Your Own Mask First! Well being stream icon

Self-Care & Self-Compassion pave the way to Self-Worth – yet, this is not usually the way we feel and live. As a consequence, as counterintuitive as it may sound, by neglecting ourselves, not only do we stamp on our Self-worth, but we are also not able to truly have something to offer to those around us.
After a brief introduction of the subject and of the scientific & academic studies and findings available, we will do a short practice we may use whenever we need to support ourselves – because we are worth it! We will share our experience through an interactive dialogue and a few tips for our daily lives.

Day 06 - Saturday, Feb 13th

10.00 – 11.00 – S1 – Is this really the job I always wanted? Coping with Transition at Work Self-Worth Week Work Stream icon

We’ll explore the topic, how to maintain Self-Worth in the face of a role which can erode you, and cause you to be interesting and not interested in your team, giving you the shifts to achieve great teamwork and so build your career.
For so many managers they end one week being one of the team and start after a weekend being the manager. And for a few weeks the sense of achievement is great. You have the job you always wanted.
But you have no idea why ‘they’ treat you differently. It’s because you now have the power to fire them.
So how do you motivate someone to work with you and not fear the consequences of telling you the truth?

– Stuart Webb Self-Worth Week Facilitator Stuart Webb

11.00 – 12.00 – S2 – Embodied Presence Well being stream icon
